About TJ's Ice Cream
TJ's Ice Cream is a women-owned business started in 2011 by Tammy Newswanger and Judy Wissler. Our idea came from the thought "How much fun would it be to have an ice cream truck?" Little did we know that our search for a nice, clean and functional truck would take us all over the east coast. We wanted a truck that parents would feel comfortable allowing their child to buy ice cream from as well as knowing the truck was clean and run by a well-respected company.
Having children ourselves and the memories we had as children chasing the ice cream truck our goal was to bring joy and happiness to the children in our neighborhoods and bring families together. As we have children of our own with certain allergies the only logical concept was to serve allergy free products. We wanted to make sure every child no matter their age could enjoy a visit to the ice cream truck. Therefore, we always carry a selection of dairy free, gluten free, peanut free and sugar free products on our truck.
Then in the middle of summer 2021 our truck broke down, so we went on a search for a new vehicle. We finally found our dream truck with our Ice Cream Bus. Thank you to all who helped make the switchover as quick as possible. Our truck is available for birthday parties, weddings, corporate events, backyard BBQ's along with any celebration you can think of.
